The irony of Life!

image

Decades of blissful union,
Held their strings attached,
From ages of tenderness,
To a time of old
They tasted the tempest hours,
Thusly connected- with magic unmatched,

The groom hunted animals for survival,
His “Rib” toil the soil to aid;
Their offsprings searched for knowledge,
The life they lived was wonderful

…………..Suddenly; a shock!
His Eve was stroke by ailment
—– That entrapped her bones;
Hence, stroke a core in him
Confusion circulated his nous

She was hurriedly hospitalized
Doctors diagnosed a sickness incurable,
Yet told her dearie it was treatable,
And monies he had to find
To save his dearest beau!

So he bowdlerized the trees of the forest,
————- bartered for monies with wood
To bring his significant other back to life;
Though death had taken her home

And the doctors kept her corpse,
But accept monies from her other half,
Though he attempted-
To see her beauty,
They never allowed him to

Years and years he worked,
And cash he paid,
Not aware that his wife was no more
Hence—— doctors accepted the fruits of his sweats,
And kept this secret until-
Death took him too.

He expired redeeming a lost soul,,
And met her in a land unknown,
Their children were left alone
But love to love their ‘loves’ too.
